Individual requests regarding Work Experience and Placement Opportunities

Mill Park Heights Primary School promotes the building of capacity within the education sector. We therefore encourage experiences outside the familiarity of our school. When seeking Work Experience placements, we request that any previous students or students with family members currently attending MPHPS, undertake their placement and an alternate location.

In addition, any parents seeking a Student Support Placement will also be required to undertake their placement in another setting. This negates any areas of concern regarding potential conflict of interest.

Student Accident Insurance

Parents/carers  of students, who do not have student accident insurance, are responsible for paying the cost of medical treatment for injured students, including the cost of ambulance attendance or transport as well as any other transport costs.

Parents/carers can purchase insurance policies from commercial insurers.

It is important to note that the Department does not hold insurance for personal property brought to school and it has no capacity to pay for any loss or damage to such property.
