Welcome to Year Two
Litter, litter everywhere
Whittlesea Council came to MPHPS to help the children understand and learn about the impacts of litter on the environment, why people litter and how to reduce litter at school and in the community. They participated in some hands on activities polluting water and then learnt how that would impact the animals that live there. They also learnt how rubbish can or cannot be broken down into soil, learning that chewing gum never breaks down!
A special Auslan message from 2F

Blue Bots
Students in 2F visited the STEM Space to explore coding through the BluBots. Where they had to code directions to get their BluBot from one location to another. Allowing students to practice their problem-solving skills as they worked collaboratively to figure out how to get their robots to perform specific tasks.
